How to set up your new email account

When you purchase your hosting with Crigital (Shared, Bridged, Dedicated) we set up your server side email accounts for you.  If you purchase Host Gators Hatchling Plan (or other plan) or purchase other hosting you will need to set up your server side email accounts.

To set up your local email in Outlook follow these instructions.  They may vary slightly depending on your version of Outlook.

1. In the menu bar click on Tools.
2. Click on E-mail Accounts in the drop down
3. Use the wizard or navigate to View or change existing accounts
4. Click Change Email (or Add if adding account)

 

Set the following:
Your Name: John Doe
E-Mail Address:  Jdoe@johndoeinc.com
Incoming mail server (POP3):  mail.activeentertain.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP):  mail.activeentertain.com
User Name:  John+johndoeinc.com
Password:  john123abc

5. Select next, finish or ok to apply the change to your existing email or to add the new email.
